First-generation Dodge Chargers debuted in 1966. This model’s 5.5-second 0-60 mph and 14-second quarter-mile times were achieved by the 426 cu.in. 7.0-liter HEMI V8 engine. The automobile could reach 115 mph. The 1966 Charger had 425 horsepower and 490 lb-ft.
Chrysler Corporation’s premium Mustang competitor, the Dodge Charger, was a mid-size fastback coupe like the AMC Marlin.
The first generation vehicle included a full-length center console, bucket seats for all four seats, and Coronet underpinnings. Vinyl for the four bucket seats, a full-length center console, carpeting, and interior courtesy lights was standard. Tinted rear windows and variable-speed windshield wipers were standard. The 1971 Dodge Charger represented the third generation of Chargers. This Charger, powered by a 7.0-liter (426 cu in) V8 engine, accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and reached a top speed of 117 mph. A three-speed automatic transmission transmitted power to the rear wheels. The engine’s carburetor was a 2 Carter AFB 4-barrel.
In 1971, Chrysler revamped their B-body coupes, giving the Dodge Charger a more sinuous and slender profile than the previous two iterations. The bold design choice was intended to steer the model in a more contemporary direction. In addition, the redesigned Charger features a split grille constructed from fuselage sheet metal.
The automobile had disguised headlights, a Ramcharger hood, and a rear spoiler as optional accessories. The car was manufactured in Los Angeles. The 1971 Charger was the final model to offer “Hi-impact” color options.

The seventh generation of Dodge Chargers started in 2011 with the release of the 2011 Dodge Charger SE.
SE models are powered by a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, resulting in a 0-60 time of 6.4 seconds and a peak speed of 124 mph.

The 2019 Dodge Charger GT is the second-highest trim level available for the 2019 Dodge Charger. In addition, Dodge added three more engines with 370, 485, and 707 horsepower to meet most drivers’ thirst for speed.
GT models have 20-inch wheels and distinctive designs and suspensions. The UConnect 4-powered 7-inch touchscreen supported Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dodge named its exterior colors Go Orange, F8 Green, Octane Red, and our favorite, Plum Crazy.

This redesigned Charger, introduced in February 2005 for the 2006 model year, uses the LX chassis of the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum; in fact, the Charger’s interior is nearly identical to the Magnum’s. As a result, it succeeded the Dodge Intrepid as the brand’s full-size sedan.
This Charger is a four-door sedan, which may upset some lovers of the two-door Chargers of the past. It is manufactured in Brampton Assembly, Canada.

For 2017, the Charger’s 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen boasts faster startup and processing, greater resolution, and pinching and swiping when equipped with navigation. In addition, it includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

2018 Charger SRT Hellcats get redesigned grilles, fender emblems, and Nano steel wheels. New options include black, orange, and gunmetal Brembo brake calipers, dual gunmetal gray exterior stripe, and Demonic Red Laguna leather inside.
The 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat became the world’s most powerful production sedan without the finesse or agility of a BMW M5 or Mercedes-AMG E-Class.
